I recently received a text stating that my UPS package was unable to deliver and that I should contact a number about getting my package. Now the first step here is to RECOGNIZE something out of the ordinary; in this example this would be to realize that I did not have a package that I was expecting. However it is a possibility that you are expecting a package or simply forgot if you had a package, so if you are ever in doubt REMEMBER to go through authorized sources to track packages. Go back through whatever website or app you bought using and track the image this way.
It is not only common but a main mechanism in which scams use to create fear and a sense of urgency to fluster people out of thinking clearly. The main goal of this scam is either to get people to enter personal information in which can be sold or used by scammers or to get money directly as a “processing or delivery fee” for a package which will never come.
Other indicators of scams include asking for gift cards or some sort of Bitcoin or equivalent currency as it is practically impossible to track or trace and once a transaction goes through is gone forever, so remember that if you feel pressured or forced into a decision or if something feels off or simply ‘too good to be true’ it probably is and you are likely being the victim of a scam.

Wow that is so insightful into the minds of scammers. Understanding what they are after in terms of info and money in the form of bitcoin can be so helpful in stopping them and identifying them!!!
Absolutely it is, thanks for your feedback.
I have had this before too, thank you for sharing I think it is important in order to spread the message so no one else falls for these.
Thanks for sharing, and thank you for your feedback.
I have seen ones just like this for Fedex and even amazon, good point to always check where you bought from if you actually are expecting a package. Good call on avoiding bitcoin or any monetary transfers unless you know the person directly too!
Thanks so much for letting me know, great to spread the awareness so these scammers don’t get what they want.
Good point Alex, you should also add to make sure you do not click on included links as these can have viruses and malware and affect your devices, good job.
Good idea, thanks so much for your feedback.
